Dr Christoph Meinert, Postdoctoral Researcher at QUT and Director of the ARC ITTC spin-off Gelomics Pty Ltd, was recently awarded with a QUT Outstanding Thesis Award for his PhD thesis titled “Hydrogels and Bioreactors for Cartilage Research and Functional Tissue Engineering”. The award recognises an outstanding contribution to the field of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering and places Dr Meinert among the top 5% of successful doctoral candidates at QUT in 2017. His PhD work features, among others, a co-first author publication in the prestigious journal Nature Protocols which has been cited more than 75 times since publication in April 2016.
