The world-first 3D printed chest reconstruction implant from our interdisciplinary team has changed the life of a young medical student.
Our efforts have transformed the young patient’s life. We did extensive planning to design and additively biomanufacturing the implants with the support of clinicians at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Translational Research Institute (TRI), Australian Centre for Complex Integrated Surgical Solutions (ACCISS).
The patient-specific scaffold was printed by German company BellaSeno GmbH.
